Influencer Received Threats Received by Husband. Then, before killing himself, he murdered her in front of their daughter

The tragic incident involving influencer Theresa Cachuela, a 33-year-old mother of three and owner of House of Glam Hawaii LLC, occurred in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Theresa was fatally shot by her estranged husband, 44-year-old Jason Cachuela, in a shopping center’s parking lot, specifically at the Pearlridge Center. This horrifying act took place in front of their 8-year-old daughter, adding a deeply distressing dimension to the tragedy.

Theresa Cachuela was known as a social media influencer and beauty entrepreneur, having built a significant following and a successful business. She had about 20,000 followers on Instagram.

On the morning of the incident, she was heading to get breakfast with her daughter when they were approached by Jason, who shot and killed Theresa before fleeing the scene. His lifeless body was later discovered in Waipahu, where he had taken his own life.

In the weeks leading up to the shooting, Theresa had reportedly filed and was granted a temporary restraining order against Jason. This was after he allegedly threatened to kill himself with a knife while their daughter was present, indicating a history of domestic troubles and escalating tensions.

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) confirmed that Theresa was the shooting victim and that the suspect, Jason, was later found dead behind a Waipahu residence. A gun was recovered at the scene, further substantiating the murder-suicide theory that the police are investigating.

This incident is not just a personal tragedy for the Cachuela family but also raises broader concerns about domestic violence and its often devastating consequences.

The presence of their young daughter during the incident further underscores the far-reaching impact such acts of violence can have on families and communities. The loss of Theresa Cachuela is a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and support systems to protect individuals and families from domestic abuse.
