The Alamo

The Alamo is one of the most important historical places in the United States. It is on the eastern edge of San Antonio. As of 1836, it had been turned into a fort. It was built by Franciscans in 1744. During the Texan War, The Alamo became famous when a small group of people defended it against a larger Mexican army. Every year, more than 2.5 million people come to this historic site to see the renovated mission and the cenotaph honoring the Texas soldiers who died in battle.

Big Bend National Park

One of the most well-known wild places in Texas is Big Bend National Park. The Chihuahuan Desert, the Rio Grande Valley, and the Chisos Mountains make up the three different areas. Its height ranges from about 1870 feet to 7875 feet. There are 1,100 different kinds of plants and 400 kinds of birds in this park. The birds range from road runners to golden eagles. There are more than 240 miles of hiking trails in the park. The Lost Mine Trail is five miles long and has beautiful views. The Santa Elena Canyons, the Mariscal Canyons, and the Boquillas Canyons are some of the other great things to see.

Space Centre Houston
