This Pennsylvania Hospital Named ‘Best In State’ For 2024

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania – Penn Presbyterian in Philadelphia has been named the best hospital in Pennsylvania for 2024. This recognition is based on Newsweek’s ranking of leading hospitals nationwide.

The evaluation process for this ranking includes several critical factors such as peer recommendations, patient experience, hospital quality metrics, and the implementation of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

This hospital, part of Penn Medicine, a globally recognized academic medical center, is known for integrating clinical care, research, and education. It offers a comprehensive range of services, including primary care and intricate surgeries.

The hospital is renowned for its specialties in cancer, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and transplant, and it is noted for its commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care.

Some of its notable achievements include pioneering the nation’s first bilateral hand transplant and uterus transplant, being an exclusive regional provider of bronchial thermoplasty for severe asthma, and receiving the Magnet designation for nursing excellence, the highest recognition in nursing practice.

Additionally, it is a leader in clinical trials and research, with over 1,800 active studies and significant research funding​​.
