Jon Pardi Opens Up About 100-Day Sobriety Milestone, Weight Loss Journey, and Health Transformation

Former country music star Jon Pardi recently disclosed that he has been clean for more than 100 days and has as a result shed “a bunch of weight.”

The “Dirt on My Boots” singer said earlier this month, “I’ve been 112 days sober,” on Amazon Music’s “Country Heat Weekly” podcast. “I was told to cease because I was prediabetic. I’ll declare myself “retired.” That doesn’t mean I can’t leave retirement early. However, so far it’s been fantastic, but it simply slipped off my face.”

Before his weight loss, the 38-year-old claimed that he had reached the stage in every photo and video where “I was so unhappy with myself and it was like where I was going I just needed to take a break.”

He made light of the hostesses, Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson, saying he felt like he was in Vogue after doing a picture session. “Gosh, I look great!” he laughed. “Take that Tito’s [Vodka]!”

If you drink and you want to lose weight, he remarked, “Let me tell you it does tremendously help if you stop.”

He did, however, admit that after giving up booze, he still has “sugar cravings” for ice cream, which he rationalizes by eating.

He said, “Let me tell you, I love me some ice cream.” I’m thinking, ‘Well, I’m not drinking, I better have this Twix candy bar ice cream,’ because of this. Coffee ice cream is delicious.

He quipped, “Botox!” in response to a host’s question about what he planned to accomplish in 2024 that would make people speak, and then he stated that he wanted the following year to be all about “new music.” Fantastic songs. Fantastic record. Just something new for all of you. I want everyone to say, “Damn, that’s good,” when I unveil this brand-new idea.”
