Who the Buc are you?: Genesis Dade
The Round Table sat down with Genesis Dade’19, forward for the soccer team. Genesis had an outstanding freshman year for the Bucs. She was named to the first team all Midwest Conference, scoring 13 goals, including 5 game winners, and assisting twice to lead the Bucs. Dade’s 13 goals were tied for sixth in conference, and tied for fourth most in Beloit history, and her 28 points were eighth in Conference and fifth most in Beloit history. In the 2016 season, Dade leads the Bucs again with 4 goals on the season, 2 of which were game winners, and has 17 points.
The Round Table: Where is your hometown?
Genesis Dade: Riverside, Calif.
RT: What’s your major/minor?
GD: Molecular, Cellular biology
RT: What do you want to do after Beloit?
GD: I want to go to medical school and become either an emergency Physician assistant or obstetrician.
RT: Favorite pump up song/what you listen to before games?
GD: Before games I usually listen to ‘Warm Shadow‘ by Fink.
RT: If your house was on fire and you could only save one inanimate object what would it be?
GD: I would save my family’s photo album.
RT: Favorite joke to tell?
GD: What kind of bagel flies? A plain bagel
RT: Favorite soccer player?
GD: My favorite soccer player is Eden Hazard from Chelsea.
RT: What would your superpower be?
GD: My superpower would be telekinesis
RT: If you could be stuck in an elevator with anyone for a full day, who would it be and what would you talk about?
GD: If I were stuck in an elevator with anyone, I would choose Chris Pratt. I think we would talk about all the funny Parks and Rec memories, and also the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
RT: Describe your favorite pair of socks.
GD: My favorite pair of socks is my long black socks with dogs all over them. They’re super comfy and they make me happy.
RT: What was the last thing that you watched on YouTube?
GD: The last thing I watched on YouTube were Saturday Night Live skits.
RT: You just won a free plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where do you go and what do you see?
GD: I would go to Tanzania. I think the landscape is beautiful and the wildlife is incredible. I would definitely go see Mount Kilimanjaro.
RT: When was the last time you screamed and why did you scream?
GD: The last time I screamed was when a teammate said she would take us to Panda Express and I was super excited.
